Yes you can.

Put something soft on the ground and lay the bike on its side.

Whip the cover off and put the new one on with a new gasket. Tighten her up, and put her back on her feet.

Job's a goodun. Thumbs Up

Well my bikes mint, but the 2nd engine i bought was crashed = mangled cover, i have a mint one so i'd like to swap, must admit I dont like the idea of lying the bike down Embarassed plus i dont really have anything o cushion it lol, but if its up on a paddock stand, maybe leant to the right a little, will the oil be high enough to get out? cheers

You don't have to lie it down - lean it against a wall at about 30 degrees and that should do the job. Small dribblage, maybe Smile
