Well, after some fabulous training from The Link in Chelmsford (shameless plug but they deserve it Mr. Green ) I passed my DAS yesterday on my first attempt with only 1 minor.

Sean & Bert, my instructors, were awesome & cured me of all the bad habits I've picked up since passing my CBT last year.

They were even really good about the fact that I dropped their bike (twice!)

Trouble is, now I'm snowed in so can't take bike out Rolling Eyes

Congrats, shame about the weather but will make it even better when you do finally get out on your bike.

Well done!

Now take it easy on the roads, get used to sliding it about in the winter, and then in the summer you'll be able to ride rings round the summer weekend warriors. Thumbs Up

Cheers all! Very Happy

Been looking at bikes all morning. Am leaning towards a ZX6R but only being 5'4" & 9.5 stone I'm not sure I can hold it up. Was bad enough dropping the bikes at The Link but wouldn't be a happy girl if I splat my own Rolling Eyes

I quite like ZX400R's & R1's but again, not sure of the height etc.

Are their any other girls (or guys) on here who are around the same height? If so, what bike have you got & how do you find the weight/height etc?

I`m about 5ft 4" ish and have had trouble with height, used to have a zzr600 780 mm seat height that was ok.
I now have a busa with a little taken out of the seat to reduce height by 10 mm. As for weight i`m a tad heavier than you Shhh!

Generally most 400s and 600s are quite low just check the seat height on the manufactures website when you go to choose your beast! Thumbs Up

Or, if your buying from a shop ask the sellers.

CBR400s have the lowest seat height of the 400s, great for shorties!

Mine just happens to be up for grabs in the for sale section ; )

im 5"4" and the best bikes for us due to our height are any of the 400s.

The R1 and are R6 are not too bad im quite comfortable on the R1 with my feet almost totally on the floor.

But when i had a GSXR600 k1, i was on tip toes all the time!
