I've just realized how often I bring up the grand ol' U. S. of A. when posting, even if it's not even remotely relevant. As such, I would like to petition for one of them fancy custom title things stating proudly: I'm an American! The exclamation point being absolutely necessary.

It'd be greatly appreciated and might serve as a reminder that there's no need for me to mention my homeland in every post, etc. Even though, in all honesty, it won't.

Surely if you were really American you'd be demanding it in capital letters too? Thinking

But I'm not only able to spell, but I've successfully learnt myself to disengage the capslock feature that comes standard on US keyboards as well. Surely these examples alone are enough to gain entry into the coveted custom title club?

No . As always you've got the spelling slightly wrong.
As we all know the Yanks are lazy speakers.
They're also lazy spellers (that's spellers at the back, stop sniggering).

So the Yanks spell the way it sounds.
That's why they have things like color when it should be colour.

So in the same vein the title should be...

I'm a Merrycan!

Hope this clarifies.
Now go away and practice humming Hail to the Chief.

Very Happy Thumbs Up

...besides, asking for a title is not the done thing old bean.
Toodle Pip.

I'm afraid you are as woefully wrong as said Yank, map.

The phrase is: I'm a Merkin!

Used in a sentence:I'm proud to be a Merkin!

Not if said in a southern accent.
However, as the other rookie is californian then you're probably right Very Happy

...by the way do you know the definition of a virgin in the souther USA?

...answer is a girl who can run faster than her brothers, uncles and father Rolling Eyes

...do you know what the American's call a lawnmower?

...that'd be a Mexican then Very Happy

....I'll go and take some medication now Wink

I suggest you start a poll and let us pick a custom title Wink

for example:
[ ] I'm an American!
[ ] I'm a Merrycan!
[ ] I'm a Merkin!
[ ] Annoying Septic
[ ] None of the Above

Christ, no. Not with those options, anyway. Thumbs Down

I think all the American stereotypes are usually quite funny and to be honest uncannily accurate at times, but I'm not exactly your average American. Which would be the reason for my frequenting a foreign forum as opposed to one of the many more local ones.

I'm not really into elongating my swing arm, chroming my faring, or making my bar ends look like bullets, etc. So, obviously, something that might apply to the run-of-the-mill American, in my opinion, most likely wouldn't apply to me.

However, I still manage to reference 'the land of the free and the home of the brave' in at least every other post so I thought my suggestion was a decent compromise.

Besides, I don't really do, haven't done and can't imagine doing anything else to warrant a custom title and I'm damned tired of waiting. Whistle

Yeah, I know having both California and America in my name and title would be a bit redundant, but to me that makes it all the more humorous. Albeit still not exactly funny, per se.

I suppose you're right. But I'm all the way over here. It's not like I can come on a ride out, sneeze in my helmet and accidentally piss/shit myself or something to earn my name and I certainly don't have any clever catch phrases such as 'Wotcha' and 'O RLY?', etc. I just wanna be cool, is that really too much to ask? Crying or Very sad
