Hi

Single sided swinging arms are far weaker for the same weight than a normal swinging arm. Ducati used them for marketing. A story goes that one race team got the new (as then) 916 for racing. Doing some developement wprk they dropped the engine into an old 888 rolling chassis, and were surprised to find the 888 with a 916 engine laped quicker than the proper 916

All the best

Keith

The air vent makes it look like a fish!.. but I fo quite like it never the less... the 916 etc. styling was getting a bit tyred just cos they're so popular.

It does look quite like a fish, I hadnt really noticed it before.

Apparently it looks that way cuz it was designed in an air tunnel for max aerodynamic efficiency. So it should be a ferkin fast fish!
