I know my sump plug was stripped and has had a helicoil fitted recently. I am changing my oil today, and was wondering if I should stick to the handbook guideline for torqueing the sump drain bolt to 7 foot pounds, or is there another rule of thumb which should be followed when working with helicoiled bolts?

Properly-done helicoils can hold higher torques, so do it up to factory specs Thumbs Up
