Justa quick question with regards my HT leads, bikes a CB400sf (NC31) I was thinking about changing theplugs when I service it next and was also looking at HT leads. Anyway I have screw in HT leads and apparently I need to buy the leads instead of buying a metre of lead and making it myself.
When I went to Honda they quoted me £16 odd for each lead and that doesn't include the caps.
I just wanna confirm, as I'm new to bike mechanics, do I need to buy the leads in two seperate parts? Are they easy to connect up(leads with caps)? Also do I need to pay through the nose for these pre made screw in type leads?
Cheers. |

if the caps screw on and the screw up to the coils just buy a metre of lead
honda will always try and sell you OE parts
also try busters accesories and M&P for reaplacement

You can repair the moulded-in ones many times. I cut away the moulding on my XJ1100 coild pulled the leads out and fitted 5kOhm Renault car leads in their place, and sealed them back up. Worked perfectly for 7k miles last year. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
