It looks kind of like the new Aprilia RS125 but it's built in China and is a 4 stroke 125cc bike, I think it looks really tough for it's size as it's only a 125 and get it looks like a 600 (especially the back end) these things have only just hit American shores although I'm sure they'll soon be popping up on eBay UK as all the other Chinese Import bikes do, so what do you think? by the way these bikes are priced at $1700 which is around £900 here in England which is significantly lower in price than the other 'sports' 125s out there. (They're sold here in U.S.A: https://www.badazztoyz.com/ )

I like the style - looks like it's trying to be a new Blade.

The only concern is how well (or not) it's built Wink

Looks pretty smart from where i'm sitting, is the quality reflected in the price though.

If you're 17 and wanting a 125 then that sounds perfect, and of course the quality is reflected in the price but hey - You only want it for a year of ragging around!

Much prefer it over a CBR125 for looks.

Looks too big and heavy.

However the price is much better than the CBR125, so could be interetsing if it won't fall apart after the first week.

I've noticed you can get a CG125 copy for about £600 OTR now.

looks nice..though looking at the specs it seems that it only has a 4 speed transmission Surprised

anything that comes over to these shores though, the price would probably be doubled! Can't really picture this 125 selling for anything like £900...though it would be nice Very Happy

I've seen a hyosung gt125r the other day in the flesh...(also a china bike), and that also looks pretty cool for a 125. Has an official importer so maybe a better choice as it has the parts backup here..

Prices are pretty high, though - a fair bit more than a CBR125, yet I expect will have an engine with similar power.
Yes, it looks tarty. But it also has a claimed dry weight of 166kg Shocked - so that's exactly the same as the GSXR1000, abiet with less than a tenth the power.
All show and no go, it seems.

They should be made a bit better than the other chinese bikes, but when they cost more than a Honda for a slower bike, I doubt they are made that much better!

Wow! Surprised they look great! but to be honest at almost £3000 I'd much rather spend my money on an Aprilia RS125 / Derbi GPR 125 / Cagiva Mito 125, very pricey for a Chinese bike I think...

The hyosungs are korean, and are extremely well engineered. Used prices are shit, so they make a damn good used buy.

Its a sports 125 and it looks like it would fit bigger lads like me. Its about time. Sports bikes are too wee these days.

You can hardly call that a 'sports' 125.
It'd be like describing the Pan European as sports bike.

Sports bikes are small for a reason Smile.

I suspect they do actually ride ok - in the end 166kg is like a CBR with a much heavier person on it.
But I'm pretty sure I'd rather to not have that extra weight and I definitely don't think they in any way justify the price tag.

Thats a nice 125, it dosnt look 125 though which is good. Can you get parts for it though thats the prob? lifan are imposible and i went through hell just for chain and sprockets. And imo it will prob fall apart like my bike and you will be forever replacing bits on it.

Looks good thats about it.

Hyosung gt125 i have also seen in flesh and thats a lovely bike, is the same size as there 600cc also only differance is the exhanst visually.

Just had a look on the site and it seems these (the topic of the thread) are 4 speed, so a pit-bike engine, I presume.

They also do one for $1100, which looks lighter and less tarty.

Look up the Lifan Lf125 its the sports version, seen one on ebay for about £800 new. Thats if you looking a cheap sporty bike but i would not advice lifan from personal experiance.

In comparison to the two other Asian imports on this thread I'd have to say the Lifan looks pretty poor.

I agree. Dont even think that lifan is geared as the work scooter was mentioned in it, and no geared mentioned at all.

Just be careful anyway they can be a hazzard, i have the custom lifan and am not happy withthe orogial parts being replaced alot and bits falling off. Your better off with honda cbr or yamaha.

can i just say Hyosung are not chinese, they are korean, and are making real strides into the motorcycle market, they are not a mass produced chinese shit that flood the market, they are reliable (i had one for 2 years without break down) and will easily hold 60mph which isnt bad for a 4 stroke 125 restricted at 14.5bhp.

Hyosung are going to be quite a large player in the market in about 5 years.

My dad can remember the crap he got when he bought a jap bike in the 70's, the same is happening now, shit bikes from china are ok for razzing round on, but for semi cheap quality, hyosung are a safe bet,

watch this space

Sorry, but that's pretty terrible for a 14.5hp bike, I'd say.
My CG would hold 65mph, they are claimed to make 11hp or less I think.

If it makes 14.5hp, it's not restricted, it just makes that much power.

When I first saw news about the Comet 650 I thought 'great, a not too bad quality bike at a very reasonable price'.
But it turns out that while the quality is acceptable, the price was only very slightly cheaper than the SV.
The 125s seem to be quite a lot more expensive than most of the similiar-performance competition.
