After helping my neighbours out with their flooding problems i had to go out and pick up some headphones from dixons, knowing how shit the weather was i was reluctant to go out but had no other alternative so out i went, cautiously starting my journey, anyway after going slowly through all the puddles (wee! Mr. Green ) and gravel that were littering the roads, they seemed to be getting dryer and was on dry roads for a good 5 minutes. So i was going round a roundabout doing maybe 10mph - 15mph max, when i hit a puddle filled with gravel. Needless to say on my puny DNA50, I felt the front start to go, and then it just slipped out from under me. My head didn't hit the floor so no need for a new lid, but besides from a bit of a graze on my forearm and hip i jumped up hurried over to my little moped and scurried off to the side of the road, my mirror had fallen off and the indicator cases had come off, i pocketed the mirror and went off home, I had a look and there doesnt seem to be any real damage, i re - attached the mirror, and there didn't seem to be any scratched, cracked fairings, bent forks or anything so it looks like i walked away cleanly. Im going to drop it off to have it checked over tomorrow or monday just to make sure but everything seems to be cool! Thumbs Up
Do you guys think i was going too fast or was it jus unlucky, i personally think i was going too fast, it was inevitable that if i hit a puddle i was fucked with tires the same size am my wheelbarrows, anyways i drew a map so you could all see. Mr. Green

TBH 10-15 isn't that fast round a roundabout, even in the wet unless the roundabout is small indeed. I think what you did wrong was not looking ahead and not spotting the puddle.

Just one of them things.
You have now learnt that in the wet DO NOT get too close to the kerbs as there is always a chance that there is a deep puddle, something you don not want to hit with any angle of lean....

And beware flooded roads as you never know what is under the surface.... As that muppet found out when he hit a summerged car yesterday....

Looking at your diagram it seems what transpired was that you hit the kerb on the centre of the roundabout. You must of then veered off into the puddle.

I can hardly blame you for clipping the kerb though, it looks like a pretty weird shape and probably would of caught me out too.
