You'll be covered (assuming you dont *actually* cover your speedo, which you can get done for) but if you get pictures of other people doing stupid things, ie wheelies/stoppies/etc they can get done.
If I remember NIN who has posted on here occasionally got done cos he was filmed doing a wheelie accross 3 three lanes of a motorway.

The police stopped someone riding a litre class bike (I froget which) for a 'routine' check, noticed the camcorder and had a look at the tape. They saw speeds of upto 160 on the speedo over an hour ride, he got a year in prison despite slowing to 30 for villages and not being a significant danger to anyone.

(I forget the exact details of the story, but you get the gist)

hi
well ill be doin it on me own just round sum twisties i know they cant do u fro strapping a cam to your bike because its leagle to sell stands that fit onto your bike, Ok im not gunna get a tank bag so wheres the best place to put the cam on the tank above the petrol cap or in like on the speedo lookin throgh the screen?. I dont know if any of u bought a back issue of"Bike" magazine but there was one with the best roads in britain. well if u go to surrey it says that one that is on my doorstep, out of my drive and im there, Its the "pirbright to Frimly" one. Its got about 6 90 degree corners going into each ohter followed by a quick uphill bit then down like a corkscrew followed by a long right hander and a long left hander, its ausome and i wanna fill me goin round it cause i know it like the back of me hand Smile

if ur gunna buy a tank bag, then masacre it and cut a hole in it for the lense (which seems a bit daft if u ask me! lol) thn why dont u just buy a proper camera stand that suckers onto the tank or attaches to ur bike, they are bout the sam price as a tank bag and will do the job a damn sight better then a bodged tank bag. Or u could just bungee it into position.

'cos I don't like the sound of a year in prison?

Okay, if you don't film you're speedo it makes it harder for the pigs but if they're arseholes they could look for known landmarks on your video and work out your speed from that. Admittadley your not that likley toget caught, but it's not a risk I'm gonna take.

There was a news article in a magazine about an extra CCD that you can plug into your camera via a lead and have it on your fairing somewhere, plugged into a camera in a bag.

He was a safe rider & didn't take as many risks as some riders. He sold the bike after this because his wife didn't want him riding anymore. Neither he nor his family were expecting a jail sentence.

Not sure I'd be happy with someone filming me riding....especially if they got caught by the fuzz. Evil or Very Mad last thing I need right now is a dangerous driving conviction cos they saw my numberplate Embarassed
Rather let zim have the camera, so he can take pretty pics of the sky Wink

If we did go for a rideout, and the camera was there, i think i'd use some black insulating tape and create a new numberplate ID Laughing
