I have DHM (dual hard mushroom) crash bungs on mine which seem pretty sturdy to me, I think you can get them for 35 quid Thumbs Up

You're being too tight.

Don't expect them to actually save much for £30.

To my mind its worth every penny for R and G racing protectors because they (usually) save more money on damage than they cost to buy.

I keep hearing about R&G being so superior... but I mean come on, its a lump of plastic attached to a short metal stem, how different can it be? I'm skeptical about how much of it is just marketing spin.

I think R&G's are more like 60/70 quid (R&G website lists them at 60 quid +VAT for the hornet)... so its not 15 quid difference, its twice the price.

Dunno about naked bikes arent you better off with a bar around the engine, even though it looks ugly?

For sports bikes the R&Gs cost £45-£55 from most bike shops.

Oh i forgot to mention that with R&G you may need to drill a hole in the fairing where it bolts into frame or engine depending on which bike you have.

Its sounds bad but its not.

Hornet R and G's definately work.

Jay12329's hornet has crashed more times than a ZX81 and it still goes as well as the day he bought it.

Only damage is a bit of scuffing on the R and G's.

That saves the fairing really well. Wink
