saw that ad again today when the car hits the scooter. This time I'm 100% certain that I heard the indicator going when the car slowed to turn right. Just thought I'd say cos there was some dispute over it awhile ago.

So the ad is saying that bikers are stupid and likely to try and ovetake you even when your slowing and indicating right? that makes us look good. I like how it promotes awareness but it could have been less biased. A one where someone is pulling out of a junction and doesn't see a biker would be better.

I agree, the indicator was definately going so it just make it seem like the bikers fault. As ferkin usual then!!!

You're right, there is definately the sound of indicators...however, they sound very fast, which could imply that the rear bulb has gone, and thus why the motorcyclist couldn't tell...but who the hell is gonna be able to tell!?

...my DAS instructor almost ran into the back of a transit van 'cos it just decided to stop, but it was actually indicating and waiting to turn into a junction...the rear light had blown...

The ad was deliberatley ambiguous

but the rider was partly to blame cos he should of seen the car slowed and pulled over to the right even if he didn't see the indicator. The car driver did indicate late though.

The police are doing a Think Bike thingy deal at Wolverhampton.....to prove how much they distrust/dislike bikers, the event is happening on private car parks with Police supervising and teaching, and yet to take part you have to take your insurance documentation and lisence!

I know what you mean about not using brakes- drivers seem to think that using engine braking makes them a better and smoother driver, when really braking is necessary as a signal. Arseholes.

But then its not really sensible to overtake by a junction is it?
Especially a right hander.
