I found chucking my cruddy filter in a bucket of water was enough to get rid of most of the visible rubbish, although you can buy stuff that's specifically designed for cleaning filters or alternatively use petrol if you've got some lying around . Just make sure you re-apply filter oil afterwards. ____________________ Photos and that |

clean the carb by taking it off the bike to a clear work bench, then strip all the floats,jets fuel filter ect, give them a good blast out with an airline to clean them, replace every thing were it came from, return to bike, fit carb, put bike back in one pice, start her up after fiting the carb and leaving the bike 5 mins to give the carbs chance to fill up with petrol. And away you go. |
