Hey.

I just bought a full set of Spada gear, not sure of the type though, Troos were £80, the jacket was £100. I've been running around for a week with this gear and I had to take the lining out so its certainly warm enough.

No serious rain as yet so can't comment.

One thing I would say, although it didn't seem unique to Spada stuff (I tried some Frank Thomas gear on...) Whats with the sizing? I have a pretty average build but still had to go for XL. (I probably should have taken XXL troos...) I'm not fat just an average 32" waist and my legs are (gladly) unwonky.

Kinda begs the question, what kind of a person could fit into a medium or even a large, I reckon you'd need to be a smurf for the small and XS clothes Confused It seems that if you're maybe 6'5 and 17 stone, you'd be struggling to get anything big enough.

I have spada milan trousers and i think there very similar to the flage ones. They have propper armour and they claim to be 100% waterproof ect... but for £40 are you really going to complain? Very Happy

I used to have Spada Circuit Trousers and Jacket and they were the best bits of gear I ever had!

Rode in wind, rain, snow and sun and they never let me down. Cool in the summer, warm and waterproof in the winter.

I found the Circuit trousers came up a little bit tight around the waist, but if you're trying them on before you buy, you shouldn't have any problems.

Would highly recommend Spada to anyone Thumbs Up

I bought a Spada jacket 2 years ago and it's now just about at the end of it's life. I've worn it almost daily for commuting so in that time it's done around 35K miles all year round. In winter, it's warm enough to ride with just a t-shirt underneath and not be bothered by cold.

Not bad for a £60 jacket. Thumbs Up

On the down side, it was never particularly waterproof - not in heavy rain at least - but it keeps out everything up to a heavy shower. The armour was nothing exceptional either, but was fairly cheap to replace.

Based on the evidence of 1 jacket, I'd recommend Spada gear. Thumbs Up

Bazza has the top half covered,

I have a pair of the camo Flage trousers.

They do exactly what they should say on the tin Razz.

Actually waterproof, ie no "membrane" bullshit that stays soggy for days, the outer layer seems to be non-porous. And the inner lining keeps me insulated. It has armor in the knees and hips.
I don't feel cold after a 10 hour day, however the outside can get dirty (black at the bottom of the legs Thinking), if it bothers you im sure it could be cleaned...

I prefer to wear thermals under them but you would still be warm if you went without.

Not much else can be said about them. They are a solid bit of kit.

Based on the evidence of 1 pair of trousers, I'd recommend Spada gear. Thumbs Up Razz
