Hi,

Has anyone dealt with these people?

A colleague has just passed his test yesterday !!! , (1st time) and has been quoted £245 fully comp on an RGV250 .

Anyone been with H & R? I've heard bad things about Hastings.

Ebike were much dearer which was a pity because you can print out your insurance document on line and he was hoping to be out and going today.

I'm insured with H&R and they seem like a decent company. You only really know how good they are when you need to make a claim though.

They were the first place I rang. No one could beat their quote for me after them. £200 tpft, Hornet 600, first bike.

I was with ebike, until they decided to double the cost of my policy because I moved to a lower risk area Shocked

With H+R now - haven't had to claim so not sure about that side, but all the documents arrived next day, seemed to know their stuff when I spoke to them on the phone.

I had my H100 insured with them for 3 years but never had to make a claim so can't really comment on that side of things.

They were certainly cheapest for that bike, and I never had any problems with them on the odd occasion I needed to speak to them.

I didn't think your mate needed to have the insurance certificate in his possession to ride as long as his bike was covered? Although obviously he won't be able to tax it.

Been with H&R off and on for a few years, always received very good service from them. I've claimed on two policies for expensive total loss claims and they have always been good. I had offers of help from them on some parts of the claim that weren't their problem too.

They do some worth while extras such as legal cover, license cover and break down cover at very good rates too. Thumbs Up

I was with H&R last year, seemed ok to me and their quote was the lowest I found by a decent margin.

EDIT: I forgot, they also offer really good European cover with their policies.... I think 3 months or something like that.

I was with H&R for a year on the SV. They offered a decent renewal quote (only ebike beat it) and although I had trouble with the breakdown cover initially, they sorted it out quickly and all was well.

Bunch of wanks.

I wouldent worry about having your policy documents, in the rare incident he might get stopped and given a producer, the insurance company would be able to send a cover note as proof of when insurance started.

If the bike is listed on the online database as being insured you would be able to do that. I don't think you can do it online with the old-type documents.

Tried their online quote thing. Pretty useless.

Won't accept the fact that I got a NCB before having a full license (50cc at 16), and wont accept the fact that I only have one full time job Rolling Eyes

I've used them. Good pricing, seemed competent but I never had call to make a claim through them.

Im with H & R, good brokers with a very competitive motorcycle scheme underwritten by NIG. Also the old blokes daughter is now at the helm and she got Insurance young achiever of the year or something last year (can't remember the details im always drunk at insurance do's). Good service, good prices, docs next day, can't complain.

I used H&R one year, they could do me the best price for that year and that was that. I had no problems with their service at all, never had to claim etc so I can't comment on that side of things. As usual though the renewal was too dear and I got a better deal elsewhere, but that is the same year in, year out.

Cheers he's gone with them.

If you see an M reg , Red RGV in Huddersfield its him. Be careful he's just passed.

He hasn't got all the gear yet which is worrying though....... Missing boots and trousers.
