I was just thinking, as I stood there doing dinner and listening to the radio...
An 8 year old child is 14 stone? I mean.. wtf

Listening to the Mother on the radio breaks my heart. For the kid.
She 'wont feed him something he doesn't like and wont eat'. 'If I give him fruit or veg he spits it out'.
Course he fu**in does!!
You give him chips and a mars bar 2 minutes later he's gonna spit the fruit out isn't he!!?

'He likes processed foods'
'I am scared of him starving'

Yeah...

So.. this kid turned round at a few months old and said "I am only eating crisps Mum" did he?

I mean, not to preach, I was stood there cooking meat, boiled potatoes, broccoli, cauli, sprouts, carrots, savoy cabbage. And my daughter (10) cannot wait for it to be served up!!
(Honestly not preaching)
She was fed chicken etc.. savoy cabbage, sprouts blah blah from about 7 months old.
You don't like it, you get water.
As a kid we were poor. Food wasn't a 'take it or leave it' thing. You thought you didn't like it. You ate it. Because there was nothing else until tomorrow morning. And you knew it!!

Just felt a bit sorry for the child. He has no control over what he is eating. That is his Mothers job.

And another thing (climbs onto high soap box)
You see said kid is getting big... get him swimming, gymming, anything...
walk a bit. I see more and more kids these days are just sitting eating, xbox-ing. It is a real shame

Its just her attitude to perenting thats made him like that. He craves food all the time because thats what he is used to. She has no right to say what a burden it is feeding him all day. Babies surely arnt just born with an uncontrolable appitite. Shes just been too damm lazy to be a parent and shut him up with food whenever possible.
