Can one get aftermarket chain tensioners for main drive chains? On both my RXS100 and the GS450 I get annoyed by the jerk caused by slack chains, when you suddenly accelerate.

I adjust the chains properly, but somehow they always seem to manage to stretch rather quickly...

Sounds like you need to buy a good quality chain then. A 100 and 450 don't exactly put out mountains of torque. Wink

And the chain on the GS I haven't actually adjusted, but it is properly adjusted according to the manual. It's just that I don't like that slackness, and was wondering if I could rid myself of it with a tensioner.

You have to have the recommended slack in the chain to compensate for different loads on the bike when the suspension moves. If they are adjusted to the right spec then it isn't the chain causing the snatch something else is wrong. As they are old bikes could well be worn cush drive drive rubbers.
