Are they pro racers or anything, they seem too good to just be your average road riding power ranger!

How is it that they don't highside, or at least get any wobbling? Is it just a matter of releasing the rear brake smoothly? I've often wondered this in relation to supermoto races at well...

Repost, cool vid though, apparently they just lack tracks in Greece so basically push the limits on the street.

EDIT:In the comments though, vid uploader says the Duke rider races 600s and is doing very well.

The guy on the red bike seems to have is rear brake slide a lot more sorted that the guy on the yellow; he wobbles a bit in that one and a lot in a couple of the other videos.

Takes some skill/nerve to even try it, but if you then have to back off and ge the bike under control, what's the point?

Am guessing that you ease off the back brake gradually as it come back into line for a smooth transition, or just use some power to start the back wheel spinning and continue the slide that on the way out of the corner?

Still would love to have even a inkling of that level of bike control. Karma

EDIT: And then there's McCoy

The guy on the naked didn't look as 'pretty' but I liked his riding the best, seemed smooth and controlled.

Cool vid! Thumbs Up

A highside usually happens when the speed of the wheel is higher than the road speed - it throws you off when it grips suddenly while going a different angle to the direction of travel.

They are, I suspect, knocking it down a gear and then may be using the rear brake to keep the speed of the wheel decently below the road speed but still spinning - the slide ends when the wheel catches up to the road speed which it does relatively gradually.

I've played around with it a bit, but never on 'real' roads - just industrial estates etc.
