I have some Sennheiser in-ear headphones I've been trying to use whilst riding. Sometimes I get a good fit and its a nice quiet ride, with the music on low, but other times the phones just won't stay in my ears and pop out, and thats damned annoying!

My ear canals are very small, and I need a new pair of headphones for the bike, connecting to an MP3 player in my pocket.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

They are pretty comfortable, and they've got a decent sound quality too.

Koss 'The plug'. Thumbs Up

Under a tenner, scrunch to fit, decent sound, and boy can they take abuse. I've had my current pair for around a year, and they've been ragged every which way, and still not a crackle.

I had the Sony ones before the Sennheiser, and they broke all too soon. These Sennheisers have got a dodgy left plug now too.

Don't you both have problems keeping these in your ears whilst you get the helm on?

I tend to only wear one whilst riding, so when I am putting my lid on, I push it against the opposite side of my head so the lid clears my ear easily.

How about those that have the ear 'bracket' thing? Reckon they will work? When I put my helm on I lose 1 or both plugs, and it takes 3 or 4 attempts to get it on with the plugs >.<

They might work, depending on how you get on with the different styles of earphones.

I found with those there was a lot of pressure on the back of the ear and I ended up with a freaking blood blister lol!

No, because they sit 'in' your ear, and fit tight like an earplug. I just make sure I give them a few seconds to expand to fit, and then I'm off, my lid doesn't move them.

Take the covers off standard earphones (all of it so it is just like the gauze that covers the speaker), then stick them round with a bit of electrical tape or something. I have small ears, i bought these headphones whilst i was on gap year in Japan and they fit perfectly, i bodge repaired them this way, although now they are a bit too small, haha...

Although i would be too worried about the sensory deprevation to ride listening to music.
