Problems with my bike.

Hiya folks,

Can someone please try and give me an explanation as to why my bike may be doing the following. I crashed it the other day and it went down on the side of the gear lever. The lever now doesnt seen to be engaging the gears as possitively as it was, and instead of a nice possitive clunk, I now get a kind of slip, im worried the gearbox has been shock loaded or something. its also really hard to find neutral and im really low on bottom end power.

Also the ignition is really stiff, to the point that the key casing has come apart, any ideas?

it if knocked the lever theres a chance it could have shocked through the gearbox, causing gears to or round off teeth, which would mean it loses power. the problem you are explaining could be from one of the rods in the box getting bent, get it open and have a look, or get it into a mechanic for a proper checkup.

Suspect it is just the shaft going into the gearbox for the gearchange that has got bent

Unfortunatly it will probably require an engine strip down to check and / or change
