Depends on the artist, but you're looking at hundreds I'd imagine.

When I asked how much a full sleave was going to cost, the tattoists said £40 per hour if that helps, but thats on the back so maybe it differs. Smile

Someone good with tribal would knock that off in around 3/4 hours a side if you could sit for it. Budget for around £60 p/h. The example there is pretty poor though, just a bunch of shapes thrown together IMHO. Find someone noted for tribal, cos as simple as looks, a lot of people can't get it right.

Hmmmm not exactly very original is it?? You see loads of them everywhere.

Someone I know does great tattoo's in Birmingham, designs and does them. Check some out on myspace.

Tattoos are a personal choice, if they want to get one that others have, so what?

"Hey, you have a Fireblade, I like it, I might get one too."

What's wrong with that?

I like my black tribal tat's, at least a few years down the line when they fade a little or smudge their not going to look much worse.

I've seen plenty of coloured tat's that are almost indistinguishable.

Not that i have anything against them, i just like black lol.

I agree that tatt's are personal choice, but unlike bikes the choices are limitless. You can't quite as easily design your own fireblade alternative.

I'm not knocking the tattoo it just seems to me that if you're going to decorate your body in such a perminant way then it might aswell mean something to you personaly.

Hmm sorry, gotta disagree with that last bit. I got a tattoo of a skull on fire on my right arm, this doesn't mean anything to me, I only got it because I thought it looked cool.

Some people seem to watch to much of Miami Ink, typical person on Miami Ink...."Oh I'm getting this tattoo in memory of my dad" thats fair enough, but NOT everyone gets a tattoo that means something. Smile

All three of my tattoo's look pretty ordinary, but they were got at stages in my life where they meant something. They all have meanings and there's no way I'd get a tattoo without having a reason.

But thats just me Cool

I'm not up to date on current pricing, but I had my last tattoo done about 7 years ago. The tattoo was priced up on the wall at £200, but because the tattooist was able to get it done in 2x 1&3/4 hour sittings I got it for £130 (there used to be a thread on here with a picture of it somewhere but I can't find it now).

nkd666 pardon me for pissing myself laughing but do you mean a tattooist who can do tribal could knock that entire tattoo up in an hour and a half or did i misread the bit where you mentioned about one side done in 3/4 of an hour???

with all due respect i have my tattooist daughter sitting here and she has informed me that if you are indeed saying what i thought then you are talking the biggest load of bollocks and a tattoist who attempted it would end up creating the biggest piece of shit ever,

thats not my opinion by the way but one from a dam good qualified tattooist

Im looking around for one to join my upper back. But so many are doing it now, its picking the best
