dont even go there mate, all you get is better accelloration, and a bill for a crank re-build

yourbetter off getting an arrow system, mallossi reed block and reeds, 21mm carb and gearing your bike according to whatyour after.

But what's the point in that? Soon as the opportunity arises to get a better bike this one will be used until it's broken, sold, and forgotten about as quick as you can say Gareth Gates,

i know what your saying and i will asoon as im old enough but for the time being i want to sit around 58-60mph comfortabley without goin bang and maybe have that extra speed incase of emergency or i need to take over a granny lol. so for example if i get a 70 kit and i dont have it flat out all the time then it wont put as mch strain on the engine than if i was using my 50cc?? do you see what im saying but its just my thought might not be right though.

Thanks
James

see, above, where expensive engine rebuilds are mentioned.....

It really isnt worth it.

if you want to get away quickly in emergency's, i would change the gearing sprockets - a lower toothed sprocket means less more rev's, so better acceleration.

If your 16 its illegal to fit a big bore kit and will invalidate your insurance, wait till your able to ride a bigger bike.

dr is a good big bore kit for minarelli am6 engine (tzr,rs,rs1,etc. but not derbi)
they are a steel bore (can be rebored unlike nicasil) and twin ring so although a touch slower it will outlive your use of the bike, and not rev high enough to do your crank in

you will probably need a bigger carb as the stock carb size(12mm on most) is a restriction in itself, although some tzr's had a bigger carb which if you've got you should leave on

and please gear it up accordingly, max power (and therefore max speed) will be at 11000rpm not 15000

I'm sure if you look for my old posts I will somewhere have explained that I had a similar engined moped that I tuned the crap out of and did 90mph on it, I could have got more with a smaller rear sprocket.

My current 125 only does 65mph and is a total slug by comparison, but then you cant do your A2 on a moped no matter how fast it goes.

an exhaust is also illegal at 16 and is more likely to invalidate insurance because its very obvious theyre not a standard part. however a bore kit is likely to go unnoticed as they usually have no markings on them and they never say big bore or 80cc anywhere on them

well i aint arguing about whether u should do it or not but if u are then the pollini is a fantastic kit to buy

its a cast iron twin ring which offers reliability while still offering a huge amount of torque and power.

if ur going for pure power then look at aluminium tuning cylinders however ur bike is very likely to blow up so i wont suggest makes as i doubt this is what you want unless your upgradin the crank nd bearings

other cast iron kits are

mk cast iron
airsal cast iron

which will both offer a lot more power but not as much as the pollini

actually theres also the malossi 80cc which will be very similar to the polini.
