Does anyone have any reviews, views stats or figures for the ZZR 250 (minesweeper, do u have one??). Ime really thinking about getting one now. Reasons are:
Pretty much same insurance
Better looking than the NSR125RK
Better fuel economy
Better top speed
Does anyone know what spares are like and if you can get restrictor kits??? Information seems scarce.
Thanks
Dyl

Yeah for 2 years at 33bhp a 250 4 stroke would be fine. While we're on the subject, does anybody know if gsxr250s and fzr250s can be restrcted too??

Cheers,
Dodd

Mmm, not sure if i want a ZZR250, looking at online quotes insurance seems about the same as a ZXR400 ( https://www.a-motorcycle-insurance-website.co.uk/motorcycle-insurance-quotes.asp ). Anyone know why, seems a bit suspect...
Whats a ZXR400 like on maintinence??? I imagine tyres are quite expensive and that petrol consumption isnt good. Can you leave the engine and just change the spark plugs every year sort of thing???
Thanks

Got a quote from 'performance direct' for a ZXR 400 for £532 with only a £160 excess. I am definatlely buying one of these babys in the summer, approx the 16th July. Insurance was a lot more if it was an import which has put me off the Honda 400's why is it more for imports???
Ime so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The import thing is probably a hangover from fully comp where it'll cost more to fix.... btw I think some of the honda v4s were officially imported.

I personally find 400s 'gutless' for general riding, due to their lack of tourqe... so I doubt I'd like a 250... personally I'd go for a big single ie supermoto/szr660 etc, but most people are quite happy with a 400 (and you can allways use the clutch if you wan tinstant power.)

Imports more expensive?? WTF?? I've been quoted on every sports 400 out there and none have been more expensive imported, grey or parallel.
Check out https://www.insurance2000.co.uk they insure me now and were the cheapest around. They have also been damn cheap on the 400's.
20, no NCB licence for less than a year and around 450 on a zzr/zxr400 not much more on a VFR. CBR's bad tho.... Sad *sniff*
