Swapping bikes on insurance...

Hi,

Presuming I pass my DAS test on Friday I should be swapping bikes on my insurance (MCE).

I was wondering, is this a straight forward process, and does it take effect straight away?
Also, apart from paying whatever is needed on top of what I have already paid, do they generally add an Admin fee of some sort?

Would like to be riding the new bike on the same day if at all possible.

It depends on the broker and the insurer.
They may not be able to offer a competitive quote to swap over your current policy, they will likely charge a £20-£30 fee ontop of anything, etc.

Some companies it can be pretty painless (very easy with ebikeinsurance for example) while others make a right meal of it.

Right, anyone had experience with MCE swapping bikes?

Oddly, while doing some quotes yesterday afternoon, Bennetts had the same quote as MCE.
Bennetts cheap for once, who woulda thought?

MCE gave me allmost the exact same quote.
