leaky crotch

got an RST all in one waterproof throw over suit not long back, just to stick in the panniers on sunny rideouts incase of the inevitable down pour ( england being as it is!). It got its first chance to shine today, on a short blast back from the Albert Dock to St.Helens.

everything was o.k. up unto a point, when splish splash, my nuts get the fright of their life with an icy shower, lovingly pooled by the creases in the suit.

Is there anything i can do to sort this out? a tesco bag nappie crossed my mind once or twice..........

yes, buy heine gericke water repellant spray or even better nikwax water repellant spray for tents and liberally spray the crotch and let dry naturally.

That is assuming your wet suit isnt a cordura two piece in which case use the stuff for cordura.

I gave up years ago with so called waterproof clothing and threw all my money at Gortex lined stuff. I would have saved a shit load of money if I had done that in the first place. Havn't had a leak since and if I did its guarenteed waterproof!

Every one piece suit I have ever seen leaves you with a wet crotch in the rain.

Two piece gore-tex stuff is the way forwards. I generally use army surplus.
