Roughly, how much should i expect to pay to have a Cat1 alarm and immobiliser fitted to a car? I cant seem to find any fitting prices online, only if you buy the alarm from them too...

Not being nasty but I wouldn't bother spending money to put an alarm on a P Reg car. Just use a steering lock, as only chavs and oppertunist theifs would nick a old car.

The pros would be after GT/GTI Mk4/5 as a minimum nowadays. Wink

I was thinking more about bringing the insurance down, but i dont suppose the fall in the insurance premium will be enough to justify spending out on an alarm/immobiliser. If insurance goes down by, say, £50, then it isnt worth spending £150+ on security. As you said, might as well just buy a steering lock.
