I have found a new photograph program whilst stumbling in Firefox and it is called Autostitch. Before you ask it is completely free.

Autostitch "stitches" photographs together for such things a panoramic views. The program requires no user input and it is completely automatic, you simply select your photos and your done. I have attached a few examples of it's work. I must say I am gob smacked it's ability and it got all the photos in the correct place.

Looks good, especially the example shown on the software site.
However, only frames that were around for the long panaroma shots were based on the old APS film. As film is going out I haven't seen that style of frame in ages.

Rather pricy to get on custom made, although I suppose you could do a montage type thing, print on a large size and mount in an off the shelf frame.

I'm also sceptical about the free bit of the software. The site says download the demo version. So is there a full (non demo) version?

Thumbs Up

I am not sure whether there is a "full" version since they say if you buy the licence on their site you get source code and technical support etc.

I understand your queries with a demo version but I would not call it a demo version. There are no limits on the program as far as I can see. What do you expect for free? Laughing

Its a great program - been using it for a couple of years now.
Once you learn the tricks and tips of how to use it - you soon get some great results.
I used it on the following (1 bike pic and 2 not)

I used to use a program called Panorama Factory V3.0 which was quite good but you had to have the right amount of overlapping and so on. Will probably give this one a try.

Here's a link to one I did in pano factory https://www.deviantart.com/deviation/11896915/?qo=4&q=by%3Aproject9928&qh=boost%3Apopular+-in%3Ascraps

I've done some nice ones with Panorama Factory V3.0, was alot easier with my old camera. It actually had a panoramic setting which showed half of the prev image so you could match it up before taking the pic.

Cant seem to find them now though
