I managed to get the GPz running today....

It wouldn'y start today, after reassemlbing the engine according to the mnauals (Clymer AND Haynes) but by rotating bother camshafts thru 90 degrees, the valve timing was perfect, and now it's running...

not quite "sweet" yet, as the throttle adjustment sux, (won't Idle) and there's a hole in the exhaust, but nothing serious..

a job for tomorrow...

then a sneeky/cheeky run before I book it in for an MOT next week...

well happy....

at last a bike that runs.. and all for the total price of,

new engine 200
gasket set 60
plugs 6
Oil Filter 5
New gallery plug 8
removal of rotor by Local Bike shop, 1 pkt biscuits

279 quid and a pack of biccies all in..

not bad Smile

You ought to buy a puller (for rotor) then bike shop wont have to take it off if you need to in future.
They only cost a few quid but people always seem to go to Bikeshop.

Anyways, well done with the re-build. Should be much trouble getting it sweet as a nut if valves and ignition are properly timed
