Some shots from Silverstone's British Superbike races this weekend. It's a terrible circuit for photography, but the full gallery is here.

Ahh, so you were one of the mugs who paid £10 to get into the pit lane!


We went down for the weekend, I think Jon's got some good shots of the accident in qualifying on Saturday. Despite being on Copse with a good view when the bikes came off on oil at the end of the second race both Jon and Dad missed them completely.

Had a fab weekend despite it being freeeeeeeezing on Sunday! Brrrr.

dude, the girl on the right aint hot! she has wonky eyes and mouth, the girl on the left imo is FAR prettier! oh shite, just remembered my GF is a member on here now......erm yea the bikes are cool, love the flames on the overrun lol

The girl on the left works for Focused Events, her name is Tiega. Propably spelt it wrong. Rolling Eyes

Was there with Mark83 and Soulrider, fecking overcast it was race day.

We got a good view of the off in the 2nd race, would have made for some good pics.

Why is it a terrible circuit for photography? saw a few guy's with "leg sized" camera's on the start line, then after the start they ran up to the last corner bit on the inside of the fence!!

Are they not fussed where you go?

I did exactly that for the second race. The majority of corners at Silverstone are miles away from the areas where you can stand, which only leaves a couple of corners (mainly those in the complex), which are mainly quite similar. It leaves little scope other than to take the same picture a million times over...

Who's "they"? The track? As long as you're behind the barriers whilst there's traffic on circuit and don't impede the marshalls then you can go pretty much where you like.

I think I saw you on Sunday, you turned down my fabulous offer to buy some tickets! lol, I was constantly with hankies in my hand due to a nasty cold I came down with two days before, still worked tho, but wasn't feeling (or looking) so hot.
