 |
|
So i took my brand new bike in for it's first service on saturday. Get it back home and realize the oil is leaking out of the bottom of the bike from the sump plug i think.
Call the garage who come out to get it, and apparently the sump is cracked!? Not sure how this could have happened?
They say it will be fully repaired with a new sump under warranty but i'm now without a bike for a while.
Anybody ever have this happen before ? |

Cross threaded the drain plug and hoped it would hold long enough so they could say 'It wasn't us'
Or am I just being a teeny weeny bit too cynical here ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Amount of damage would depend on how much oil had leaked out. If it was pretty much all of it then a newish engine running dry would not be a good idea... Or any other come to that.
Sounds a lot like they knew that you would have a problem, as even the best garages try to worm out of stuff like this. They could say anything, such as you must have been hit by a stone or such.
Hat's off to them for getting it sorted quick, just a worry it happened in the 1st place. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
