Hi

Not sure exactly for your model, but generally Aprilia restrict their 125's by fitting a blanking plate into the power valve port and omiting the solonoid that operates the valve. Nothing in the exhaust. However, some markets get the RS125 fitted with a smaller carb, and I think some German market bikes have a speed limiter.

To derestrict, remove the power valve blanking plate and put the real valve in place (and make sure it is the right way up), and connect it to the solonoid. The solonoid is a brass coloured piece bolted to the inside of the r/h side frame rail, beside the battery. I hear that sometime the solonoid is fitted but not connected up, and sometime even the valve is fitted as well.

If the bike has been used for a while the valve blanking plate will be difficult to remove. Good luck with getting it out.

All the best

Keith
