The top pic is looking across llyn Idwal at Y Garn, the second pic is looking across Llyn Idwal at Pen Yr Olwen from Devils kitchen and the third pic is looking across Llyn Idwal again at the Devils kitchen area. Didnt get to any peaks that day cause i had a bloody migraine. Still great to be out and about though.

Cool, I recognise the view in the second picture, never seen it in winter before though Smile Must be quite hardcore to do it in winter, you need to what you're doing then.

Here's a couple I took in the Brecons last Spring:

And some from around Snowdon I took in the balmy weather last summer:

Cheers all on the compliments.
Got more pic's but havent downsized them but got some from other trips out.
Winters not bad as it goes. As usual and as the same with bikes its been equipped properly if you get what i mean. The ice is the worst thing so its handy to have crampons. Doing the mountains at night in the snow and ice is good fun. That tests your knowledge, bottle etc Very Happy
Anyway, heres a few more pics of various stuff.

You dont want to lose your footing here, its a vertical mile drop. Grand Canyon again. A good head for heights is handy if out in the mountains.

A pic i took a couple of months back. Looking across at Snowdon off in the distance. Yes, that is natural light.

Fantastic pics! For me motorcycling is inherently linked to the outdoors, and I'm obsessed with finding the most most dramatic and wild scenery to ride my bikes amongst (hence going to places like Norway).

I would love to get into outdoors type stuff more though. I spent a couple of days hiking in the Tatry mountains in Slovakia last summer and really loved it, I'm going back for another biketrip this summer and the visiting the high Tatras again is my main motivation for going I guess.

https://homepage.ntlworld.com/steven.coy/images/europe_2006/slovakia-3.jpg
I've posted this pic before but it's me on the summit of a 2,400m peak. The peak in the background is only 200m higher.

I'm also intending to do the Penine way this year, probably in the Autumn. Wouldn't mind doing the Three-peaks challenge as well if I could find a couple of people to do it with, though this year is now out of the question.

Nice pics. Smile

I've done a lot of mountain walking myself but my gear has been taking an extended rest since my son arrived (3 years ago).

You can't beat the feeling of taking the last few steps up to the summit and seeing the world beneath you. I went up Snowdon twice, both times by the Miners/Pyg tracks. The first time was heavy mist all the way up. When we arrived at the top, the mists parted momentarily to reveal the whole North Wales coastline. You could see all the way from Merseyside to Barmouth and beyond. A spiritual moment.

Spamage!

Spent three years at Bangor Uni so i had all this on my doorstep. Snowdown was a weekly trip to get rid of killer hangovers. Up in 90 mins, down in 45 mins (race the train down (and win)).

Being buzzed on the top of Tryfan by a couple of jets.

Snowdonia, brings back memories mate as nearly every weekend our Dad would give us a kick and wake us up long enough to get in the car then we'd wake up on a campsite next to it...

We spent most of our youth ( me and younger brother ) around Wales, I/we haven't been since he passed away nearly ten years back but I intend to go ( when I move up bike wise ) touring around there again...

Fantastic photos and thanks for putting a stupidly big grin back on my face... Thumbs Up

Quality.

Incredible photos, would love to do something like that. I presume you use proper photography gear rather than just a digital camera?

Such a silly statement.

Digital photography is just as proper as film photography.
Its a means to produce an image of what you see.
It takes similar skills to get the best results.

In all aspects of life we upgrade and improve the tools.

Digital is now ahead of film for the most part.

Or can we assume you still commute on a horse?

Personally all ive got is a Nikon 3200 Coolpix which is getting on a bit now and a newer Nikon L3. Both great cameras but the L3 is obviously a bit more up to date and fits in my pocket easier.
Cant speak for anyone else who have added some great pic's but i havent got a clue about photography, i just point the camera at things i see and like and press the button. What you see is what was there at that moment if you see what i mean. No altering of colours or the likes, pic's as nature intended.
Think im going to have to add some more pic's now. Very Happy

Well, now I am home, I have full access to my photographs Smile

Probably around three quarters of the way up Jebel Toubkel, the tallest mountain in North Africa. It was around this point I started to suffer altitude sickness and decided that a scree slope would make an ideal bed. Laughing

Some bouldering near Monknash, it was just a good excuse to go for a pint in the Fern and Fallow - the world's greatest pub. I just love the way the stone looks like brickwork, the beach here is always nearly empty (you have to walk to get there) it's beautiful.
