Hi,

Im currently giving the Honda 125 CBR some TLC before I sell it.
However, thanks to roadworks in the area, the engine and exhaust (among other things) are covered in baked on tar.

Whats the best way to get it off? What products I should need etc?

Also, what cleaning products could you reccomend for general cleaning, just to spruce it up abit more.

Thanks all.

Go to Halfords or a similar naff store and buy some 'Tar & Glue' remover, it will require a few minutes to soak in and do its magic but it will work. Alternatively you can use some neat petrol on a cloth, dab it on the tar spots and leave it to soak in for 2 mins then rub off again with petrol on a cloth.

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do NOT attempt this process whilst near naked flames such as matches, lighters or fags.... I will not be responsible for rapid dramatic hair loss.
