Does anyone know the tank range or tank size of a 1992 bandit 400, and/or 2006 SV650S?

I’m trying to work the approximate cost of a 3 day 470 mile biking weekend.

Cheers, Iand

Not sure how tank range is going to affect the overall cost of petrol but my old SV generally went for 130ish miles before asking for some more juice.

Work out at roughly 40 miles to the gallon. So thats 12 gallons £4ish a gallon = £48 give or take.

I was just wondering as I reckon we could break the trip down into 3 days, 135, 135 and 200 miles, now my Yamaha FZ6 does about 150-160 miles / £13-15 before it goes onto reserve, so I could do the first 2 legs without filling up, then I would have to stop on the 3rd day to fill up when the reserve light came on. (is this starting to sound like a GCSE maths question?)

I guess it would cost between £40-50 each depending on how fast we rode, which would probably be not very as we’re all new bikers, on our first big bikes! (hence the bike selection!!)

Why not just stop for petrol when you need to, instead of trying to work it out?

Surely that's easier and less of a ballsache than trying to work it out?

How could you do the first 2 legs without filling up ? Thinking

135 + 135 = 270, your bike does 150 miles to the tank.

Because it would be nice to have a rough idea of the cost before I set out, I am guessing all 3 bikes would have roughly the same economy wise, but was just adding up the numbers!!

i meant we could do the first leg and fill up at the end, then the second leg and fill up at the end, not all 270 miles in one go!

My bandit 600 manages about 120-130 before reserve. 145 if you push it.
