Perhaps a good reason to be happy that they have quite a monopoly.

Not many companies would take the blame so quickly and offer to pay for repairs, even considering claims without receipts as a way of refunding for repairs.

Thumbs Up To Tesco.

Probably trying to draw some flak away from the half price fruit scandal.

For those that don't know they doubled the price before the offer came into effect and just put them back to the standard price.

Yeah I realised they played fowl play in the past. However they didn't have to offer this out. It wasn't their fault that the petrol was contaminated. To offer this so quickly is good. Thumbs Up

assuming they do actually pay out thats very good customer service, whcih not many companies would do. They will probably claim it all back off the manufacturers/storage people anyway.

Yep Tescos may be paying out but I bet they don't end up footing the bill, think they will be suing their fuel supplier for the costs Very Happy

Read the story.... Rolling Eyes

It will be considered case-by-case basis. Even if you paid by credit/debit card then it will appear on your statement and you can use that as proof.

What a load of ballocks, they make a fortune in profit everyday they should have done this days ago and shut down any pumps that may have damaged the consumer any more than they already had. It's just a very small drop in the ocean to tesco and will be paid out of petty cash, where as the people who it has caused problems to may have been enough to cost their businesses to fail. Tesco screw people through the ass and don't have the balls to admit they are wrong until they have to.

ITV news recently evaluated TESCO's financial situation relating to this, based on their profit's last year and how much fuel is, howmuch they sell, and worked out the total cost of repairs would simply cost them 2 hours profit covering the whole company. Rolling Eyes

2 hours of every single tesco store in the entire country working for free probably has more impact than you'd think.

It wouldn't be two hours for free, it'd be two hours with no profit.
It's called breaking even, which many small buisnesses do for several weeks/months of the year I don't think Two hours would have damaged tesco that much. Maybe the director's would have had a little bit less in their bonus cheque this year.
