My nomination is the Black Country New Road (Or the Birmingham New Road if coming from the Black country), Speed cameras all along it and set after set of traffic lights all red and stupid priorities that give the side roads equal time on green but with a tenth of the traffic than on the A road.

The road ruining through stoke on trent, jeesearse it was so feckin boring :/ only used it a couple of times before taking the far more dangerous/entertaining route through the peaks adding a good hour to the journey as well..

Motorways are motorways though, they are actually not at all bad at night when there empty, just make sure your pillion doesn't fall asleep..

A500 or A34?

A34 has shiyte loads of scameras the A500 doesn't .. but it does have lots of bridges where the vans like to sit and take your photo.

Going through the peaks just to avoid Stoke? Bit of a long way round...Jeebus! Confused

The A303, fast route to London from the South West, but it's a boring dual carriageway. Motorways are more fun. Least you have 3 lanes to play with.

The A40 between Beaconsfield and West Wycombe, the ride through High Wycombe is just so boring.

My nomination has to be the A64 Leeds-Scarborough. Dual carriageway and single carriageway mixed throughout it's length.

Very dangerous sometimes.

Wycombe IS boring. I live just 5 miles away from it... Though the road from Wycombe to Princess Risborough can be fun if it isn't congested with cagers. Otherwise it's pure shite.

Second that regarding Stoke, I visit my parents every now and then and have to travel down the A50 (i think, has a friggin great JCB World Parts Center on it) the road surface is so shite I hate it and then after several miles of butt numbing riding you're greeted with the delights of Meir Sad

Anywhere south of Sheffield.

I am a Yorkshireman. But all the roads i've liked have been in the North and Scotland. I've never ridden through Wales (only A55), but I guess the back roads linking North to South Wales would be great also.

The A303 has Stonehenge site next to it with fields on either side and it has a few roundabouts thrown in to stop it being boring along with a couple of good bends.

i bought my first 600 from there, if it wasnt for the sheer excitment of a new bike, the road would of been Very boring on that cold wet day.

the gap from 11 bhp to about 100 bhp kept me happy tho.

Not sure what road it was through stoke, its a big long straight one that always seems to be getting dug up for no particular reason, this was going from derby to top end of Liverpool, quickest way to the M6 is through stoke, i always went through the cat and fiddle pretty much after that though much more interesting (fully loaded on a cx with snow on the road, and another time with gale force winds that was interesting)

Brick Wall Here I am, just bought myself a new bike, and I come in here and find that once I get it back up to university I'll be on some of the most boring and speed camera filled roads in the country?! No wonder I hardly ever see bikes in Newcastle! Mad
