I watched this latest Bond film last night, and thought it was the best I have ever seen! I've never really bought into the whole Bond thing, most of those before Brosnan seemed too camp or silly to take seriously, with the short-lived Dalton being the only believable secret agent.

That's all changed with this Craig character, the best word I think of to sum him up is 'kinetic'; he bounces around the screen like a lunatic, has fights that actually look like they hurt somebody, and actually looks the part.

I haven't enjoyed a film so much so far this year, so hopefully this new start to the franchise will be the first of many new films.

We went to see it at the Fleapit in Ealing when it first came out, and I thought it was a great movie, best Bond in years. Thumbs Up

I liked the 'batman begins' aspect it had to it. It showed bond in a completely new light, for once he wasnt an invincible agent that couldnt be taken down, he got beaten, he made mistakes and he bled. An excellent Bond comeback for my likeing.

And for the record I hate James Bond films Thumbs Up

I liked this one though. I think it stood on its own two feet and would have been a good film without the bond tag.

He plays the role of Bond very well and actually looks more like an MI6 agent and this is highlighted in the various action scenes and lack of stupid one liners.

The start and urban running Thumbs Up not sure that the film actually moves on, sticks and lingers a little in places with a quick ending?

Bit long, but welcome back Bond Thumbs Up

Watched this last night & enjoyed it more then other Bond movies although i couldn't of watched it in the cinema. The story was a little long & not much happened in terms of action but i liked it.
So is there going to be new 007 movies following this one or carrying on from Die Another Day?
Funny to think after Casino Royale he goes on to fight jaws. Very Happy

I think they are starting what is called a 'new canon' where they ignore the old films and do a character called James Bond, and his early career if it was happening now.

Much fresher and much more fun. No more Madonna/invisible cars/men with diamonds embedded in their faces.

Similar to Batman Begins I guess...

Oh Yes.

They are making a Magnum PI film at the moment too... which isn't quite so exciting. Gonna have Matthew McConnerghey as Magnum... Rolling Eyes

Totally agree, Gets really long winded and slightly boring toward the end.
