Hi All
I have a Shoei XR900 lid, however a mate at work pointed out that it does not have any of the approved stickers on it to state that it is legal on UK roads.

I have searched google and the shoei website but cannot find anything about the xr900 being legal...

does anyone know if it is?

many thanks
steve

On M&P's site it is listed as ACU Gold/EC 2205 approved so yes, it is.

Even £30 chinese sweatshop lids can pass the legal standards these days so i'd imagine any helmet made by a quality manufacturer like shoei would easily pass.

If your planning on doing a track day i'd suggest getting a lid that has the gold sticker on the back or you wont get on the track. Pretty sure they check for that sticker.

Hmmm ... My XR800 has the BS sticker and ACU Gold. My XR-1000 (currently sitting on my desk beside me, only has the ACU Gold sticker ... It's an interesting point - I would be hard pressed to prove it wasn't a cheap foreign copy. I've done track days with both helmets so I'm guessing they're ok.
