I was thinking about this the other day. People say "Ooo I'd give my throttle hand for that" or whatever.

In all seriousness. Imagine some eccentric sadistic millionaire will give you a brand new bike of your choice (up to £10k) for the tip of your left index finger.

Would you?

Rules:
You can't get it re-attached
You can't sell the bike for financial gain

I'm not sure if I would. I would definitely consider it.

I'm not sure it would enough of a financial gain for me to cut off the tip of my finger, and if you can't sell it someday then what's the point? It'll be worthless after a few years! And what kind of a stingy millionaire is this?? 10k limit??

I imposed that rule so people don't go. "Yes, I'd do it, and buy a custom XYZ that's £23 million, then I'd sell it, get a new finger fabricated and live a life of luxury".

I want to know if people would do it for a new (but achievable) bike.

Oh yeah, it would be painlessly removed, and through magic would be instantly healed over.

I think I probably would do it, but would regret it quite quickly.

At the end of the day, your clutch hand won't be much affected, you may have have to be a little careful typing for a while, picking bogeys will have to be trained with the other finger if your left handed (im not Wink ).

I think the only other thing is holding a fork/knife, might feel weird at first but your get used to it.

Pussies.
You have shit loads of fingers.
I always said that at 50 you should have spent at least one weekend in prison and lost a finger.
I did both but they sewed the finger back on.

You also have two bollocks - would you happily lose one of them? Laughing

Tempting, very tempting. I was 100% for it until I thought that it would really fuck up my guitar playing, and then the doubt set in.

Ah sod it, take the finger. I can always learn the drums Smile

I'd give my appendix, my tonsils, one of my testicles of a kidney as you can quite easily live without all of them and still function fine Smile
