Well, as some of you are aware, i was recently looking at a Rf600R on a 96 plate with 28k on the clock.
I went and picked it up a couple of days back.
Brilliant condition apart from the pannels that got vandelised, needs a side pannel or two and rear light units.
I got a few fairings with the bike, wich should make it easyer, one race can wich was on the bike, a standard can, and a micron carbon fibre can.

Came with a nice stanley tool kit, Scottoiler, And even a fag lighter in the dash! (shame i dont smoke)
new rear tyre, and new chain and sprocket.
Engine is sweet as a nut, shockers and seals are fine all round, Braided lines, and loads of meat on the pads.
downpipes are solid, and runs through the gears fine.

not bad for £45?

Some pictures below..

:edit: also has, nisin callipers (not sure if thats standard)
and EBC brake disks.

No need for a heatred vest then? Need to drill a hole in the front of your lid for the cigar now!

Is this going to be a monthly feature now?!

£40 major bargain. I guess you'll make a tidy penny eh. Wish I could find bargains like that.

What does it run like? Guy from work bought an RF600 for his first bike. It looks tidy but he paid top top dollar - over 2 grand I think, and he says it runs like a sack o shite.

Reading up on the net seems there was an issue with fueling on them - stuttering, stalling and so on. If yours is fine maybe it's been dyno jetted?

Bargain by the way - any time you want you can take spanners to that and split it for bits or make a tidy profit, well done.

only "fueling" problem ive had, is a small nick in one of the hoses, but i simply placed the retaining clip over it tightly and it doesnt leak.

i havnt heard/felt any stuttering as yet, but i wont keep my hopes up, as at £45 you cant really expect perfection.

Took it out before, and it handles really well in and out of the corners, feels like its on rails Thumbs Up

They are good bikes all though a little lardy but can still keep up with a group.

The thing I found strange was the old school riding position legs up arms stretched Laughing

Seats nice for long mile trips.

If you pull the petrol tank off be careful of the fuel sensor I managed to snap mine as the wires were brittle. Also replace the fuel lines much less hassle later on. They do wheelie Wink

Running out of petrol at 150mph seemed to make my bike run a bit better afterwards guess it must of cleaned the shite out of the carbs with just induction Laughing

Can also get a bit thirsty but easily sorted with the carbs tweaking.

Back fires are fun with the stock can to, makes 'em loud as gun shots Laughing

Ride safe man.

Steal! Even if it fails it's MOT on a million things and you have to junk it, it'll have given you a few months motoring for £45. AND it's got a fag lighter.

*dance*
