Any such thing? a mate has asked a couple of shoe places and they stare blankly like they'd been freshly lobotomised..

Is there anywhere? (the boots in question are sidi's £200 seems allot to piss away every couple of years, but then how much are ankles worth?)

£200?! , why not just get some £150 Altbergs , which Altberg'll repair for you every couple of years if you send them back (used to work that way anyway for a small fee),

though of course altnergs don't look half as cool as sidis

How do you wear away the soles on a pair of Sidi boots? Surely they spend 95% of their life off the floor. Unless you go hiking in them or something? Thinking

What you need is a proper old cobbler, one who knows their trade... Not one of the type you see on just about every high street now.

Had my old (25years+) repaired many times by a local guy, sadly now dead. His repairs were better than the original. Smile and above all cheap. Very Happy
They have now gone to the graveyard due to his replacement saying can't repair them...... Evil or Very Mad
Last time he gets my trade.....

Also used to know someone who just used to get a old car tyre cut a piece out and just stick that to the sole... Even better if it was a new tyre Surprised

Why not contact the importer for Sidi? I'm sure they'll be able to advise: https://www.feridax.com/

For what it's worth, my winter boots are made by Daytona, and they'll rebuild worn boots for a reasonable fee - mine recently got a new sole, new Gore-tex lining and foot beds for less than half the cost of a new pair.

HTH Smile

How much are daytona's though, aren't they like £500 or something to that tune? So if it's half the price of a new daytona, you can get a sidi vertebra for that price? Wink

When my dad repaired soles, he recollects using rubber from a used tyre and patching it onto the sole with some glue too, but i wouldn't really recommend it on a motorbike boot.

Funnily enough, i've worn the soles through on my alpinestars GP3 boots. It makes walking on the rather tiring because you feel the vibes being sent through the sole. I have used the boots for walking about in town and stuff, so it could be why.

Mine were £200, although they do have more expensive ones. It depends on what sort of boot you want really - Sidis are fine, but Daytonas are (IMO) better quality and should last longer.

I had my boots repaired at a cobblers in Codsall* for £15 I had the zips and velcro replaced. The older guy in the Cobblers shop is a biker and did a really good job. My 5 year old SMXs are like new now Thumbs Up

edit*Probably a little too far for you to travel from Derby.
