EDIT - TOOK MY 2ND TEST TODAY AND PASSED! SHOULD BE TAKING MY DAS OVER EASTER NOW! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!

The title says it all.

I'll have to re-arrange all the training and testing for DAS as I have to fit it in to term dates. Bollocks!

I studied really hard too! Aced the hazard perception, but failed multiple choice by one point.

Sympathy paleese! Crying or Very sad

What a shit day. Sorry to offload this all on you guys, but you are such a nice bunch...

Thanks Guys,

I will get it re booked asap. Can't believe I missed by such a narrow margin, and me a teacher too....

Will let you know how it goes.......

Didn't even think about riding a bike until last october, now it's the very best part of my day. I have a YBR 125 and its such a great bike. It's been years since I arrived at work with a smile on my face - but the bike does it every time.

Can't wait for the summer Very Happy

Don't worry, you will pass next time. I found the DSA theory books helped. They had most of the questions that will come up in them. Go to Amazon and they are around £9 which is money well spent.

its 30/35 for the theory and i think its 44/75 for the hazard perception. i scored 31 on the theory and 65 on the hazard - so it was a bit close on the theory part Laughing

The best 'help' i had before my theory test was to sign up for 48 hour access on the following site:

https://www.passyourtheory.co.uk/

I think it cost about 3 quid for the access and I found it a great help as it brought up quite a lot of questions that didn't appear on the DVD (money not as well spent IMO). There was a couple of road signs that I'd never even seen before (one about parking on verges and one something to do with trams - the parking one came up in my test). I think there were quite a few that I did online that came up in my test.

As well as the highway code type questions it gives quite a few hazard perception tests and I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't had the practice on this site first, I would have failed on the hazards - not because I didn't see them but just because I was clicking at the wrong time.

Next time the kids at school fuck up on an exam you consider easy have a little sympathy,
I do the same job as you btw.
A little more revision is all you need, how did you do on the hazard perception?

Better luck next time matey Thumbs Up

At least you know what to revise more when the next test comes around, I used both the hazard perception CD's and the books but found the CD's better as they were interactive, maybe worth a try?

Still, Get it re-booked and good luck!

Yeah, I'm looking for a 500, possibly a cb500s - there is one at my local dealers I'm interested in. I like to sit fairly upright on a bike, and I ride to commute, so economy and reliability are what I'm after. If anyone has any better ideas/ advice then I welcome it....
