I dunno, I remember reading something last year from a couple of guys that went and quit half way through because it was just so badly organised and a big dissapointment.

They've definitely put a lot of capital into making the website load as slowly as possible.

Not sure a bike cannonball would be as fun as car ones.

Shaun, thanks, i'll look into it some more.

GAZ, its what ya make it i guess. It would suit me fine hooning from one continent to the other.
I'm looking at doing the 'IRONBUTT' 1000 miles in 24hs too, should be fun.

That'd mean you'd have to average 44mph! So assuming you stop for food and petrol, that probably brings the 24h down to about 21, again assuming you don't want to sleep.

Hmm, possible, but extremely hardcore!

Didn't wave do 1000 miles in way under that?

Now, do it off road (eh Baja 1000) and I'll be impressed Wink.

I always thought the recent Cannon Ball runs were more about showing off you've got lots of money than anything else.

'G' what your missing is the fun factor.

So what if some wanna flash the cash, doesn't mean they're any better or enjoying it anymore.

The IronButt 1000 is more about a personal goal. I've done 725 in a day 2 up but I wanna try 1000 in a day stopping only for Mars bars and Red Bull, fuel and a slash....
Without breaking the sound barrier it would be interesting to see just how long it can actually be done in.
I've done 725 in 11hrs inc ferry from Calais to Dover...That was pushing it.

It gets longer every time it's told! More like 700 I think.

Sounds similar to Jay12329's lap of cadwell, he knocked ten seconds off over night last time. Laughing
