Hi people, just put a deposit on a 1991 GSX750F, is there anything i should look out for? Things likely to go wrong etc.

Il be doing a little work to it as there's a few cracks in the plastic and a few minor scuffs here and there.

Here's a pic of me on it today, gave it a good ride and loved every minute Very Happy

With the depth of shine on that, you will slip off if you pull away too sharp.

Had one for a while now.. Watch out for hitting cars head on, they don't fair too well... Nor does the exhaust like having the weight of the bike land on it,, mine cracked.

Other than that, my '89 one is still running fine, 50miles/day for work along the motorway. The front even comes up with relative ease for what it is, too. So can't complain. I've owned the newer model too, and I actually prefer this one. Just feels a bit more there.

If you ever need any spares, I've got some wheels, tanks, head/tail lamp, a whole frame with V5 and some other random bits just laying around...

Thanks for the tips mate.

Thanks also for the offer of parts too, when i get it home me and the wife are gonna get our hands dirty checking things.

Did the side stand catch the exhaust on your bike? I can't remember if it looked a little bent or it could do with being packed out with a thin washer to keep it straight.

Just ran down to have a look-see, but forgot shoes, so didn't actually check the side-stand :p The centre stand gets very close though, but doesn't touch it.. I can't see any part of the side-stand that would hit either.

Do you have the stock exhusts? I have one either side, the one on the kick stand side scrapes as it comes up chipping the paint off.

Im not to worried about it really Razz
