i've got a hyperpro that gives no damping, i suspect a fluid leak. Anyone know of a place that reconditions them? or is there a way of doing it myself??

Hyperpro would be your best bet, AFAIK they do a reconditioning service. Ive just done a sprint one myself. Fairly easy but the parts werent cheap.
