I couldn't find it in my manual, but was wondering what kind of temperatures are 'perfect' for my '99 R6 to be running before I start giving it some?

Cheers,

Nick

The perfect temperature for giving it some thrash is when it is fully up to its normal operating temperature. Anything less is not very wise. It shouldn't take more than about 10 minutes to get fully warm anyway.

Think its something like 80ºc? (might be totally wrong)

The other thing, the coolant temptreture isn't really that great an indiactor of actual oil temptreture, which is the real critical thing..

My R6 is air cooled, meaning that it MUST be the oil temp Wink

You must have the only air-cooled R6 on the planet...

All of the R6 models are water-cooled, none are termed as having oil-cooled engines, despite having an oil-cooler.
