Hey Guys ! i want to put a BIG can on my NSR, for 2 reasons :-
1 - It would look great
2 - Makes the bike seem more powerful than it actually was.

I'm guessing here but if i put a proper can on (one meant for a larger CC bike, the bike would become slower accelerating etc...) Am i right ? And then i had an idea of buying just the Can itself and somehow Confused fitting it around the existing standard NSR exhaust.....would this cause any problems ?? and can anyone suggest a way of securing it to the original exhaust !!!!

Cheers for any input into this one.....

What to do:

Sell motorbike
Buy Nova/Escort/etc
Move to Essex
Find small dust bin
Attach dust bin to exterior of current car exhaust
Razz Razz Razz

2 stroke cans are that size for a reason, becasue that's the best size for the type of engine.

You could probably find an old slip on from a big bike, pull out the lining and stick it around your current pipe as you suggested. Personally I'd spend the money on some engine tuneing or passing the test, but each to their own.

A lot of race cans for bigger bikes are smaller than the original cans.. the idea being to save weight and ground clearance (another thing you might want to consider)

Why do you wanna kid yourself (or others)?...as soon as you wind that throttle, everybody's gonna know...but most people should be able to guess by the fact that it has "NSR" stickers on it...

...that's one of the main reasons why I don't really like the Mito - sure, it looks good...it looks like a 916...but it ain't!...it's kinda like sticking "Arai" stickers over an FM lid, it ain't quite the same...

...I reckon that some cans are just too big, and some of the people that I have spoken to are actually sometimes embarassed by it...

Just a personal opinion though...each to their own...

I remebered hearing about soemthin (might have been from Korn) about a gadget for cars that played an engine sound in time to the accelerator so that it would sound like a big v-8 (or whartever) when you actually had 1 litre uno!

Sounds like what scabzilla needs Rolling Eyes Confused

hmm

let me conclude that the size of your exhaust is not a reflection on the size of your manhood

so what does it matter :)

Bleeding 'eck. If I was Freud I'd say that the way you jumped on my little comment (which was meant for Wild Goose anyway) made you sound just a little insecure.

Besides, mine's bigger than yours Wink
