As i have posted before, my honda x8rx scooter starts fine on the kick but when you try the electric the relay makes a click, its up near the headlight. I just bought a new battery today and it still is clicking. What else do you reckon it could be?

Realy knackered. Wire loose to starter motor, starter motor jammed.

Try rocking it in gear (engine not running) or tapping starter motor with a hammer (not to hard) to see if it is jammed.

TBH I'd take off the starter motor and clean it up and test it out whilst it's out the bike

Should hopefully be fine once the connections are clean but if it turns out to be a dodgy motor I may have one here somewhere Wink

Are you pulling in the front brake before pressing the starter?

No, back brake. It would never start with the front brake, always the back brake.
