Considering you not allowed to use mirrors on a CBT/Test id agree with Nb.

Mind you all of the mirrors i've had on bikes none of them were usable anyway, i just left them on to make the bike look normal unless the bike didn't have a fairing then i took them off.

Of course you must use mirrors on a test / CBT! You must also use them in conjunction with looking over your shoulders to check blind spots.
They are not on the MOT though.

You should use your mirrors constantly but before performing a manoeuvre reinforce your knowledge of what is going on behind you with a glance over your shoulder as there are always blindspots/ twats out there!

Mirrors are not a legal requirement on bikes.

You dont need them for your test/CBT either.
