Ever been mistaken for a bloke, just cos you've got a bike and are wearing about 3 tonnes of padding?

I just messed with some poor 4 year old's head who was being dragged along the street going "mummy mummy look at that man's bike" after I waved at him. Kid looked quite stunned when I took my lid off Smile

Then of course, we have the classic "that's nice of you to wash your boyfriend's bike" from gumby passers-by and our local parking inspector who flatly refuses to believe its mine.
Or the old bloke who was animatedly asking me if the pillion was comfortable on the CB. "I don't know," says I, "I find it kinda hard to reach the handlebars from back there".

From the ladies, it's evenly divided between looking down the nose at me in disgust as I scruff about looking very unladylike, and 'you go girl!', wistful looks and questions about whether it's really hard to ride or not.

Come on ladies, tell us your stories Smile

I tend to get laughed at..... Or asked where my boyfriend is, then the look of disbelief when I tell them I'm on my own. LOL!
The best I got was in town once I was in Boots queueing to get some stuff for my mum and there was an old woman in the queue behind me tutting and moaning about "what the world was coming to when young women felt they weren't safe enough to walk around in "normal clothes" "

Or the more normal response from men on the street "Give us a ride love?"

Hmmmm, I know what you mean about the leathers Bendy - Its worth it though to see the looks on peoples faces when you take your helmet off!

Actually there is one cruiser that i quite like the look of. Its that new Kawasaki Mean streak 1500, wat with the 17" rims, D207 tyres, USD forks and ZX9R brakes. It aint really fast, but for a cruiser it certainly looks the part, either that or im just turning soft in my old age.

Ive been on the back of my brothers yamaha a few times now and i always end up sliding down the damn seat. Is there a trick to it because my brother says all my weight goes on his wrists!

He likes to clean the back seat with MR muscel as well! so it makes it extra slippy even with leathers on! I wonder if hes trying to loose me...

Newbie...
