Hi,

During my lunch break today I went for my usual swim and saw one of these parked outside the pool:

It looked absolutely fantastic in real life, I was drooling over it for ages... but I've never even heard of them. Anybody know anything about these bikes? it said x90 on the tank, and had 'special edition' and 'mecatwin' stickers? Confused one off?

I don't know what it is but i like.

I'd take on in yellow.

However those graphics/stickers on the tank are a bit gay.

Its a carbed engine, so it will be an older bike.

I think that the Italian Triumph importers modified a load of bikes themselves to make them look sexier, to sell more in italy.

I've never seen that one, but I know they pretty much took all of their TT600's and turned them into speed fours. This was before Triumph even had the idea of building a speed four. Triumph saw the MecaTwin Speed Four, and thought: "Right, we'll ave some of that!" and started building them itself.

Its a useful design excercise but I think that one is a bit too 'way out' for Triumph to put into production themselves.

Finding one will be difficult, and they will be italian imports with all the related hassles.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
